The Nissan CR engine is a {{cvt|997|cc|L|1|disp=flip}}, {{cvt|1240|cc|L|1|disp=flip}} or {{cvt|1386|cc|L|1|disp=flip}} straight-4 piston engine from Nissan's Aichi Kikai division{{cite web |url=http://www.aichikikai.co.jp/english/index.html |title=Aichi Machine Industry |access-date=2007-12-01 |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20020601122512/http://www.aichikikai.co.jp/english/index.html |archive-date=2002-06-01}}{{fv|date=July 2025}} in Japan. It is an aluminum DOHC 16-valve design. The CR14DE also features Variable Valve Timing on the inlet camshaft.

In 2013, the CR engine was discontinued and replaced by the HR engine family.
