Nizhnyaya Salda ({{langx|ru|Ни́жняя Салда́}}) is a town in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, located on the Salda River (Ob's basin), {{convert|205|km|sp=us}} north of Yekaterinburg, the administrative center of the oblast. Population: {{ru-census|p2010=17,619|p2002=18,067|p1989=20,932}}
History
It was founded in 1760; town status was granted to it in 1938.{{citation needed|date=November 2012}}
Administrative and municipal status
Within the framework of the administrative divisions, it is, together with five rural localities, incorporated as the Town of Nizhnyaya SaldaOrder #120-P—an administrative unit with the status equal to that of the districts.Law #30-OZ As a municipal division, the Town of Nizhnyaya Salda is incorporated as Nizhnyaya Salda Urban Okrug.Law #85-OZ
