Nora Mill Dam is a log dam about one mile or 1.5 km south of Helen, Georgia on the Chattahoochee River. The dam was built in 1824, and there is still a working grist mill at the site. The historic Nora Mill Granary was established in 1876, and is operated a business open to the public, selling grits, cornmeal, and other products which it mills in front of customers (though much of it is covered for safety reasons).{{Cite web |url=http://www.exploregeorgia.org/listing/3362-nora-mill-granary |title=Nora Mill Granary | Helen, Georgia |access-date=2015-11-01 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20151015045838/http://www.exploregeorgia.org/listing/3362-nora-mill-granary |archive-date=2015-10-15 |url-status=dead }}{{cite web|url=http://www.n-georgia.com/nora-mill-grist-mill-granary-store.html|title=Nora Mill Granary Grist Mill Country Store|website=N-georgia.com|accessdate=26 December 2018}}{{cite web|url=http://noramill.com/home.html|title=Home|website=Noramill.com|accessdate=26 December 2018}}
