History

In 2009, the Stockholm City planning office called for the construction of two skyscrapers in a new residential area on the border between Stockholm and Solna, a planning area later named Hagastaden. These {{convert|145|m|abbr=on}} twin towers were called "{{lang|sv|Tors Torn}}" in the original zoning plan, after the Torsplan plaza on which they were meant to be built.{{cite web|title=NORRA STATION – DEN TÄTA STADENS ATTRAKTIONSKRAFT - DP 2009-02013-54|url=http://insynsbk.stockholm.se/templates/main/pages/xGetDocument.aspx?FileId=1388539&FileName=1388539_2_3.PDF&DataSource=2&JournalNumber=2009-02013|publisher=Stockholm Municipality|accessdate=7 January 2015|language=Swedish}} The general shape and approximate height were decided by City Architect Aleksander Wolodarski.{{cite web|title=Arkitekt får hård kritik|url=http://www.svd.se/kultur/arkitekt-far-hard-kritik_4397151.svd|publisher=Svenska Dagbladet|accessdate=8 January 2015|language=Swedish|date=2010-03-08}}
