The Norwegian Army Air Service (NoAAS) ({{langx|no|Hærens flyvåpen}}) was established in 1914.Official Norwegian Defence Force website: [http://www.mil.no/luft/start/omlf/historikk/ History of the Royal Norwegian Air Force] {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20060507100725/http://www.mil.no/luft/start/omlf/historikk/ |date=2006-05-07 }} {{in lang|no}} Its main base and aircraft factory was at Kjeller. On 10 November 1944, the NoAAS merged with the Royal Norwegian Navy Air Service to form the Royal Norwegian Air Force.
