Nubanusit Brook is a {{convert|14.3|mi|km|adj=mid|-long}} stream in southern New Hampshire in the United States.{{Cite web |title=Nubanusit Neighborhood & Farm |url=http://www.nhcohousing.com/ |access-date=November 11, 2020 |website=Nubanusit Neighborhood & Farm|language=en}} The brook begins at the outlet of Nubanusit Lake in Nelson. It is a tributary of the Contoocook River, part of the Merrimack River watershed.{{Cite web |title=New Hampshire Division of Historical Resources |url=https://www.townofpeterborough.com/vertical/sites/%7B792D537E-D69C-464A-80FB-790917F72F17%7D/uploads/MainSt_Bridge.pdf |website=www.townofpeterborough.com}} The brook flows south into Harrisville, interrupted by Harrisville Pond and Skatutakee Lake, then east to the MacDowell Reservoir (constructed for flood control) in Peterborough. The brook turns south, passes the village of West Peterborough, and reaches the Contoocook River after passing through Peterborough village.
Nubanusit Brook was important to the establishment and development of Harrisville and Peterborough because many dams were built along it to provide water power to mills.{{Cite web |title=Nubanusit Lake Dam, Phase I Inspection Report |url=https://apps.dtic.mil/dtic/tr/fulltext/u2/a156441.pdf |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20201111142001/https://apps.dtic.mil/dtic/tr/fulltext/u2/a156441.pdf |url-status=live |archive-date=November 11, 2020 |website=apps.dtic.mil}} These included substantial textile mills in Harrisville, West Peterborough, and Peterborough, as well as smaller mills along the brook's course.
