o:XML is an open source, dynamically typed, general-purpose object-oriented programming language based on XML-syntax.{{cite web | title=Integrating object-oriented O:XML semantics into autonomic decentralised functionalities | website=IEEE Xplore | date=2007-12-04 | url=https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/abstract/document/4392120 | access-date=2025-02-26}} It has threads, exception handling, regular expressions and namespaces. Additionally o:XML has an expression language very similar to XPath that allows functions to be invoked on nodes and node sets.
