OS/7 is a discontinued operating system from Sperry Univac for its 90/60 and 90/70 computer systems. The system was first announced in November 1971 for Univac's 9700 system and was originally scheduled for delivery in March 1973.{{cite news |last1=Piasta |first1=Frank |title=Univac 9700 Features Compatibility, Performance |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=wCl2yLDv2bAC&pg=PT1 |access-date=Aug 24, 2018 |work=Computerworld |date=November 17, 1971}}[http://bitsavers.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de/pdf/univac/series_90/datapro/70C-877-06_7312_UNIVAC_90-60_70.pdf UNIVAC 90/60 and 90/70] However, the delivery slipped by nearly a year, which impacted the 9700 marketing effort. It was first demonstrated by Univac on the new 90/60 system in October 1973. The official release was then planned for January 1974. OS/7 was abruptly discontinued in 1975 in favor of VS/9, Univac's name for RCA's VMOS operating system.{{cite news |title=UNIVAC 90/60,90/70, and 90/80 |url=http://bitsavers.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de/pdf/univac/series_90/datapro/70C-877-06_7609_UNIVAC_90-60_70_80.pdf |access-date=Aug 24, 2018 |work=Datapro |date=September 1976}}{{cite news |title=Univac 9000, Series 70 Sites Promised Help Moving to VS/9 |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=nMHHJQxdDHYC&pg=PA11 |access-date=Aug 24, 2018 |work=Computerworld |date=November 26, 1975}}
