OXSR1

{{Short description|Protein-coding gene in the species Homo sapiens}}

{{Infobox_gene}}

Serine/threonine-protein kinase OSR1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the OXSR1 gene.{{cite journal | vauthors = Tamari M, Daigo Y, Nakamura Y | title = Isolation and characterization of a novel serine threonine kinase gene on chromosome 3p22-21.3 | journal = J Hum Genet | volume = 44 | issue = 2 | pages = 116–20 |date=Apr 1999 | pmid = 10083736 | doi = 10.1007/s100380050121 | doi-access = free }}{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: OXSR1 oxidative-stress responsive 1| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=9943}}

The product of this gene belongs to the Ser/Thr protein kinase family of proteins. It regulates downstream kinases in response to environmental stress, and may play a role in regulating the actin cytoskeleton.
