Career
He played youth football for several clubs, including Bærumsløkka, Oppsal and Stabæk, before spending two seasons in Vålerenga and two in Skeid. Having barely made his senior debut in Skeid, he broke through in 2021 when he played for 2. divisjon team Asker.{{NFF|3523087}} He was on trial with Viking FK before the start of the season,{{cite news|url=https://www.aftenposten.no/sport/fotball/i/7Kmy3V/lynrask-kantspiller-viser-seg-fram-for-viking|title=Lynrask kantspiller viser seg fram for Viking|date=15 February 2021|work=Aftenposten|language=no|access-date=24 March 2025}} and ended up signing for 1. divisjon team Fredrikstad FK.{{cite news|url=https://www.budstikka.no/asker-talent-selges-til-fredrikstad/s/5-55-1148883|title=Asker-talent selges til Fredrikstad|date=22 June 2022|work=Budstikka|language=no|access-date=24 March 2025}}
His start in Fredrikstad was slow, with only three substitutions during his first few months at the club.{{cite news|url=https://www.f-b.no/ny-situasjon-for-obi-det-har-vart-frustrerende/s/5-59-2634939|title=Ny situasjon for «Obi»: - Det har vært frustrerende|date=18 June 2022|work=Fredriksstad Blad|language=no|access-date=24 March 2025}} Altogether, he started 6 matches, compared to 17 where he came in as a substitute.{{soccerway|obilor-denzel-okeke/682079}}
After one season in Fredrikstad, he instead joined KFUM Oslo. In the 2023 1. divisjon, Okeke won promotion to Eliteserien with KFUM and was awarded as the league's Young Player of the Year. In the start of 2024, Okeke struggled with hives which made training painful—and also took a mental toll on the player. He finally made his Eliteserien debut in late June, three months into the season.{{cite news|url=https://www.tv2.no/sport/fotball/eliteserien/obis-desperate-kamp-mot-sykdommen-drommene-gikk-i-dass/16821732/|title=Obis desperate kamp mot sykdommen: – Drømmene gikk i dass|date=13 July 2024|publisher=TV 2|language=no|access-date=24 March 2025}} He scored his first Eliteserien goal in October against Sandefjord.
