SR 365 begins at a T-intersection with the concurrency of SR 235 and SR 366 about {{convert|1|mi|km|spell=in}} north of Lakeview. The highway travels amidst a neighborhood of cottages as it heads east, with side streets radiating from it. After several jaunts, SR 365 proceeds south. The highway then arrives at its endpoint at a parking lot for a boat launch serving Indian Lake State Park on the west side of Indian Lake. A small driveway at SR 365's terminus leads back to SR 235/366.{{google maps |url=https://www.google.com/maps/dir/40.5051808,-83.915972/40.5064819,-83.917576/@40.505559,-83.918906,829m/am=t/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1 |title=Overview Map of State Route 365 |access-date=2015-11-01}} Due to the lack of reassurance markers on SR 365, there are no markers marking the end of the route.{{Google maps|url=https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=40.505161,-83.915945&spn=0.00443,0.010568&t=m&z=17&layer=c&cbll=40.505208,-83.915939&panoid=cBk7tfoJDrDfD9rFE1kE9g&cbp=12,186.37,,0,10.87|title=Ohio State Route 365 - Eastern terminus|access-date=2013-08-21}}
History
The spur route was designated in 1934 along the short path that it currently runs, on land that a local farmer, Frank Fox, deeded to the state to connect to Blackhawk State Park (now Indian Lake State Park).{{cite news|title=State Highway West Of Indian Lake Believed To be Shortest In Ohio|work=Springfield News-Sun|location=Springfield, Ohio|date=August 22, 1954|page=9B|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/115380328/|via=Newspapers.com}} No significant changes have taken place to SR 365 since its inception.{{cite map|title=Ohio State Map|year=1933|publisher=Ohio Department of Highways|url=http://www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/Planning/TechServ/TIM/Documents/StateMaps/otm1933a.sid|access-date=2013-08-09|archive-date=2013-10-20|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20131020201823/http://www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/Planning/TechServ/TIM/Documents/StateMaps/otm1933a.sid|url-status=dead}}{{cite map|title=Ohio State Map|year=1934|publisher=Ohio Department of Highways|url=http://www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/Planning/TechServ/TIM/Documents/StateMaps/otm1934a.sid|access-date=2013-08-09|archive-date=2013-12-02|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20131202222253/http://www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/Planning/TechServ/TIM/Documents/StateMaps/otm1934a.sid|url-status=dead}} For decades, it was the state's shortest state route.{{cite news|title=State Route No. 7 Longest|work=Sidney Daily News|location=Sidney, Ohio|date=May 29, 1937|page=3|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/112098389/|via=Newspapers.com}} On October 6, 1962, the Ohio Department of Highways designated the route as part of a {{convert|2174|mi||-long|adj=mid}} statewide network of scenic routes.{{cite news|title='Scenic Route' Listing Given To Various Roads Under Highway Program|work=Springfield News-Sun|location=Springfield, Ohio|date=October 7, 1962|page=9B|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/121001192/|via=Newspapers.com}}
