Old Olga is an unincorporated community in Russell County, in the U.S. state of Kentucky.{{GNIS|508743}}
History
Old Olga was originally simply called "Olga", and named after Olga Kimper, the child of an acquaintance of a local merchant.{{cite book | url=https://books.google.com/books?id=azPttlmsv24C&pg=PT389 | title=Kentucky Place Names | publisher=University Press of Kentucky | date=28 August 2013 | last=Rennick | first=Robert M. | page=389 | isbn=978-0-8131-4401-6}} A post office called Olga was established at the site in 1905.{{cite web | url=https://www.postalhistory.com/postoffices.asp?state=KY | title=Post Offices | publisher=Jim Forte Postal History | access-date=13 November 2017}} The post office and name was transferred in the 1920s to the nearby community that is now known as Olga, Kentucky, and the original community prefixed with "Old".
