Oliver Cromwell Bateman (August 29, 1923 – September 14, 2012) was an American legislator who served in the Georgia State Senate from 1965 until 1973 and was minority leader from 1968 to 1973.{{Cite web |last=Hart |first=Carroll |date=1968 |title=Georgia's official register, 1967-1968 |url=https://dlg.galileo.usg.edu/data/dlg/sreg/pdfs/dlg_sreg_1967.pdf |access-date=January 14, 2024 |website=Digital Library of Georgia |page=372}} He was born in Walden, Georgia. He was a graduate of The Citadel in 1948 and Harvard Business School in 1950.
