Once Upon a Time... The Explorers ({{langx|fr|Il était une fois... les Explorateurs|link=no}}) is an educational animated television series created and directed by Albert Barillé. It is the sixth series in the Once Upon a Time... franchise.
The series was produced by French studio Procidis in co-production with {{lang|fr|FR3|i=no}} and Canal+ (France), {{lang|es|Televisión Española|i=no}} (TVE, Spain), {{lang|de|Westdeutscher Rundfunk|i=no}}, {{lang|de|Südwestrundfunk|i=no}}, and {{lang|de|Sender Freies Berlin|i=no}} (WDR, SWR, and SFB, Germany), Mediaset (Italy), {{lang|fr|Radio Télévision Suisse Romande|i=no}} and {{lang|it|Radiotelevisione della Svizzera Italiana|i=no}} (RTSR and RTSI, Switzerland), {{lang|fr|Radio-télévision belge de la Communauté française|i=no}} (RTBF, Belgium), and the French {{lang|fr|Centre national de la cinématographie|i=no}}. The series premiered in France on Canal+, beginning on 10 December 1996, and it was subsequently broadcast on the channels of the rest of the broadcasters that participated in the production dubbed into their own language.
