Open Book Alliance

The Open Book Alliance was an organization formed in 2009 to contest the Google Book Search Settlement, which it believed could allow Google, the Association of American Publishers and the Authors Guild collectively "to monopolize the access, distribution and pricing of the largest digital database of books in the world".{{cite web|url=http://www.openbookalliance.org/mission/|title=Mission|author=Open Book Alliance|date=26 December 2009|website=openbookalliance.org|via=archive.org|accessdate=24 September 2018|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20091226081416/http://www.openbookalliance.org/mission/|archive-date=2009-12-26}} It was led by antitrust lawyer Gary Reback.
