Otto Dimroth (28 March 1872 – 16 May 1940) was a German chemist. He is known for the Dimroth rearrangement,{{cite journal | author = D. Otto | title = Ueber intramolekulare Umlagerungen. Umlagerungen in der Reihe des 1, 2, 3-Triazols | year = 1909 | journal = Justus Liebig's Annalen der Chemie | volume = 364 | issue = 2 | pages = 183–226 | doi = 10.1002/jlac.19093640204| url = https://zenodo.org/record/1427579 }}{{cite journal | author = W. He made pioneering contributions to organomercury chemistry.{{cite journal | title = Ueber die Einwirkung von Quecksilberoxydsalzen auf aromatische Verbindungen | journal = Berichte der deutschen chemischen Gesellschaft | volume = 32 | issue = 1 | year = 1899 | pages = 758–765 | author = Otto Dimroth | doi = 10.1002/cber.189903201116| url = https://zenodo.org/record/1425926}}{{cite journal | title = Ueber die Mercurirung aromatischer Verbindungen | journal = Berichte der deutschen chemischen Gesellschaft | volume = 35 | issue = 2 | year = 1902 | pages = 2032–2045 | author = Otto Dimroth | doi = 10.1002/cber.190203502154| url = https://zenodo.org/record/1426050}}
His son Karl Dimroth was also a renowned chemist, who described the first synthesis of 3-benzoxepin.{{cite journal|first1 = K.|last1 = Dimroth|first2 = G.|last2 = Pohl|title = 3-Benzoxepin|journal = Angew.
