The Outer Ring Road is a {{convert|42.5|km|mi|adj=on|sp=us}} long Ring road within the South Indian city of Mysore, Karnataka. The road was originally to be widened to eight lanes, but was reduced to six in order to free up funds for building a missing link along the road.{{cite news |url=http://www.hindu.com/2010/07/19/stories/2010071951520300.htm |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20131021190410/http://www.hindu.com/2010/07/19/stories/2010071951520300.htm |url-status=dead |archive-date=21 October 2013 |title=Outer ring road in Mysore to be widened to six lanes |work=The Hindu |date=19 July 2010 |accessdate=2012-06-28}} Most of the road was opened in 2012.{{cite news|title=Mysore outer ring road to be ready by March |url=http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/tp-national/tp-karnataka/article2800624.ece|date=2012-01-14|agency=The Hindu|location=Mysore|accessdate=2012-08-17}} There are four railway bridges over the course of the road.{{cite news|title=Road near Mysore ORR to be widened |url=http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/karnataka/road-near-mysore-orr-to-be-widened/article5732353.ece |date= 27 February 2014 |agency=The Hindu |location=Mysore |accessdate=28 February 2014}}
