Parapercis macrophthalma, the narrow barred grubfish, is a species of ray-finned fish in the sandperch family, Pinguipedidae. It is found in Japan and Taiwan.

Taxonomy

Parapercis macrophthalma was first described by Viktor Pietschmann in 1911 as Neopercis macrophthalma,{{Cite web |title=Parapercis macrophthalma (Pietschmann, 1911) |url=https://www.gbif.org/species/5210032 |access-date=2022-09-23 |website=www.gbif.org |language=en}}{{Cite Q|Q100978917}} but in 2013 was assigned to the genus, Parapercis.{{Cite Q|Q29470714}}
