Pardosa nigriceps is a species of wolf spider in the family Lycosidae.{{cite web|url=http://research.amnh.org/entomology/spiders/catalog/ | title=The World Spider Catalog, Version 10.0, Norman I. Platnick, 2009}} This European spider is common on heaths and open spaces where there is low vegetation and bushes.{{cite book|title=The spiders of Great Britain and Ireland|volume=1|author=Michael J Roberts|year=1985|isbn=0-946589-12-7|publisher=Harley books}} The males have characteristically black palps due to a thick covering of hair. Males are 4-5mm in size the females are bigger at 5-7mm with a larger abdomen.
