History

The venue is named after Adelina Patti, the great 19th-century opera soprano.{{cite book|author1=John Frederick Cone|author2=William R. In 1994, it was given a superficial makeover by the BBC's Challenge Anneka. Already falling into disrepair, the building was further damaged by a suspected arson attack in 2006{{Cite news |url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/wales/south_west/8691658.stm |title=Pavilion investors tikka chance |date=2010-05-19 |access-date=2018-08-22 |language=en-GB}} The pavilion underwent a major £3m overhaul in 2009 after it became clear that it was not being utilised to its full potential.
