Paulo Gustavo Laserna Phillips (born 15 August 1953 in Ibagué, Tolima{{cite web|language=es|url=http://www.colarte.arts.co/colarte/foto.asp?idfoto=206368&img=/graficas/presentadores/LasernaPaulo/Thumb/thLasPtv2902.jpg |title=Paulo Laserna, sello de sobriedad |work=TV y Novelas Colombia, No. 290 |date=26 December 2000}}) is a Colombian journalist, political scientist, television presenter and businessman. Phillips was raised in Ibagué{{cite web|url=http://www.revistadiners.com.co/nuevo/internaedicion.php?IDEdicion=22&idn=453&idm=4|title=El hombre que hace Millonarios|editor=Revista Diners|date=March 2009|accessdate=26 July 2009|language=Spanish}} and belongs to a wealthy and influential family in Tolima, studied International Relations at the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris, political sciences and senior management from University of Los Andes, and holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University. As a journalist, he worked at Caracol Radio, Q. A. P. Noticias, Noticiero Nacional and RCN TV. He presented newsmagazine En la línea and Los reencauchados (the Colombian version of Spitting Image) in the 1990s. Since 2000 Laserna is the presenter of the Colombian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
