Pedro Eugenio de Felipe Cortés (18 July 1944{{spnd}}12 April 2016) was a Spanish footballer who played as a central defender.
Club career
Born in Madrid, de Felipe returned to Real Madrid in 1964 at the age of 20 following a loan to Community of Madrid neighbours Rayo Vallecano. He appeared in only four La Liga games in his first season but totalled 45 the following two, winning the 1965–66 European Cup in the process while contributing seven complete matches.{{cite web|url=https://www.rsssf.org/players/realmadrid-in-ec.html|title=Real Madrid CF – All the players in European Cups|publisher=RSSSF|first=Emilio|last=Pla Díaz|accessdate=6 May 2014}}
On 28 September 1967, after playing three games with a damaged meniscus, de Felipe successfully underwent surgery, being out of action for several months.{{cite web|url=http://www.realmadrid.com/cs/Satellite/es/1193040472616/1202818046692/jugador/JugadorLegendario/De_Felipe.htm|title=De Felipe|publisher=Real Madrid CF|accessdate=2 November 2011|url-status=dead|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20120311041015/http://www.realmadrid.com/cs/Satellite/es/1193040472616/1202818046692/jugador/JugadorLegendario/De_Felipe.htm|archivedate=11 March 2012}} He still managed to be regularly used during two of his last four years at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, leaving the club in 1972 and spending a further six top-flight campaigns with RCD Español, retiring at 34.{{cite web|url=https://www.ccma.cat/esport3/mor-pedro-de-felipe-historic-central-del-reial-madrid-i-lespanyol/noticia/2725507/|title=Mor Pedro de Felipe, històric central del Reial Madrid i l'Espanyol|trans-title=Death of Pedro de Felipe, historic Real Madrid and Espanyol stopper|publisher=Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals|language=Catalan|date=12 April 2016|accessdate=21 January 2023}}
A tough tackler – sometimes to excess– de Felipe severely injured FC Barcelona's Miguel Ángel Bustillo on 14 September 1969, in a 3–3 home draw. The scorer of two early goals, Bustillo was able to take part in just three league matches for the Camp Nou-based side in as many seasons.{{cite news|url=http://hemeroteca.mundodeportivo.com/preview/1969/09/17/pagina-3/950452/pdf.html#&mode=fullScreen|title=Confirmado: Bustillo, tres meses de inactividad|trans-title=Confirmed: Bustillo, three months out|newspaper=Mundo Deportivo|language=Spanish|date=17 September 1969|accessdate=21 January 2023}}{{cite news|url=https://as.com/opinion/2014/03/26/blogs/1395826200_1089745.html|title=La polémica entrada de De Felipe a Bustillo|trans-title=De Felipe's controversial tackle on Bustillo|newspaper=Diario AS|first=Alfredo|last=Relaño|language=Spanish|date=26 March 2014|accessdate=21 January 2023}}{{cite news|url=https://www.heraldo.es/noticias/deportes/futbol/real-zaragoza/2016/04/12/el-adios-felipe-evoca-bustillo-entre-zaragocismo-842250-611027.html|title=El adiós de De Felipe evoca a Bustillo entre el zaragocismo|trans-title=De Felipe's demise makes Zaragoza faithful evoke Bustillo|newspaper=Heraldo de Aragón|first=Paco|last=Giménez|language=Spanish|date=12 April 2016|accessdate=21 January 2023}}
