The Penjwen Revolt ({{Langx|ku|ڕاپەڕینی پێنجوێن|Raperînê Pêncuên}}) also known as the Khole Piza Uprising was a Kurdish-led resistance movement that took place between 1948 and 1952 in the mountainous regions near Penjwen, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Led by Khole Piza, the movement drew widespread local support and symbolized early Kurdish resistance in post-war Iraq.
Uprising

Despite limited resources, the group held out for years, Khole Piza and his followers sustained a prolonged guerrilla resistance, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of Iraqi militants.
Legacy
Khole Piza became a symbol of early Kurdish resistance against the Iraqi regime.
