Its status as an executive agency was removed on 1 October 2011 with its functions being brought back inside the DWP.{{cite web|url=http://www.dwp.gov.uk/newsroom/press-releases/2011/sep-2011/dwp106-11.shtml |title=Government announces organisational changes to Jobcentre Plus and the Pension, Disability and Carers Service - Press releases - GOV.UK |publisher=Dwp.gov.uk |date=2011-09-12 |accessdate=2015-06-22}}
