Percy Nugent

Sir Percy Fitzgerald Nugent, 1st Baronet (29 September 1797 – 25 June 1874), was an Irish politician.

He was made a baronet on 30 September 1831, of Donore in the County of Westmeath.{{London Gazette |issue=18851 |date=16 September 1831 |pages=1897–1898 }} He was pricked High Sheriff of Longford for 1836.{{cite book|title=Gentleman's and Citizen's Almanack|year=1837| page=215}} He was commissioned as a Captain in the disembodied Westmeath Militia on 29 June 1840.* Arthur Sleigh, The Royal Militia and Yeomanry Cavalry Army List, April 1850, London: British Army Despatch Press, 1850/Uckfield: Naval and Military Press, 1991, ISBN 978-1-84342-410-9, p. 153.

Nugent was elected to the United Kingdom House of Commons as Member of Parliament for Westmeath in 1847, and held the seat until 1852.
