Broadcasts and ratings

The three shows were aired on RTS1, RTS Svet and {{ill|RTS Planeta|sr|РТС Планета}}, as well as being streamed online via the broadcaster's website rts.rs and its official YouTube channel. The final was also aired on {{ill|Radio Beograd 1|sr}}.{{Cite web |url=https://rts.rs/rts/pesma-evrovizije/pesma-evrovizije-2024/pesma-za-evroviziju-2024/5379305/veliko-finale-pesme-za-evroviziju--jedan-od-16-takmicara-putuje-u-malme-rts-1-2100.html |title=Велико финале Песме за Евровизију – један од 16 такмичара путује у Малме (РТС 1, 21.00) |trans-title=The grand final of Pesma za Evroviziju – one of the 16 contestants travels to Malmö (RTS 1, 21.00) |language=sr-Cyrl |date=2024-03-02 |access-date=2024-03-02 |work=Pesma za Evroviziju |publisher=RTS}} Plans to broadcast the final of the contest on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel were dropped, presumably following technical difficulties related to the broadcaster's YouTube streams of the semi-final shows; the first semi-final stream started with a delay of a few minutes, whilst the second semi-final stream started after the first four songs.{{Cite web |url=https://evrovizija.rs/2024/03/02/srbija-2024-cekajuci-pobednika/ |title=Srbija 2024 {{!}} Čekajući pobednika |trans-title=Serbia 2024 {{!}} Waiting for the winner |language=sr-Latn |date=2024-03-02 |access-date=2024-03-02 |work=ESC Serbia |first=Svetlana |last=Jukić}}

Controversy

Following the contest, some members of the public were dissatisfied with the result, namely "{{lang|sr-latn|i=unset|Gnezdo orlovo}}" by Breskvica not winning the contest despite finishing first in the televoting. An online petition was started to demand a re-cast of the vote, also demanding that the public vote only decide the winner.{{Cite web |url=https://nova.rs/zabava/showbiz/pokrenuta-peticija-da-se-ponovi-glasanje-na-pze-ziri-brutalno-pokrao-breskvicu/ |title=Pokrenuta peticija da se ponovi glasanje na PZE: 'Žiri brutalno pokrao Breskvicu' |trans-title=Petition started to repeat the PZE vote: "jury brutally robbed Breskvica" |language=sr-Latn |first=Irena |last=Dedakin |work=Nova S |date=2024-03-03 |access-date=2024-03-03}}

Additionally, during the broadcast of the final of the contest, it was revealed that jury member Sajsi MC had awarded zero points to "{{lang|sr-latn|i=unset|Gnezdo orlovo}}", causing backlash amongst some members of the public, as well as in some media,{{Cite web |url=https://www.telegraf.rs/jetset/vesti-jetset/3847328-ovaj-clan-strucnog-zirija-je-breskvici-u-velikom-finalu-dao-nula-poena-ljudi-ogorceni-bas-velika-sramota |title=Ovaj član stručnog žirija je Breskvici u velikom finalu dao NULA poena, ljudi ogorčeni: 'Baš velika sramota' |trans-title=This member of the professional jury gave Breskvica ZERO points in the grand final, people are furious: "A big shame" |language=sr-Latn |date=2024-03-03 |access-date=2024-03-03 |work=Telegraf.rs}} while earning praise from others.{{Cite web |url=https://www.blic.rs/zabava/prva-izjava-sajsi-mc-nakon-sto-je-breskvici-dala-0-bodova-na-beoviziji-2024/41bdh1m |title='Poena ipak nema dovoljno' Prva izjava Sajsi MC nakon što je Breskvici dala 0 bodova na Beoviziji 2024: 'Nijanse su morale da prave razliku' |trans-title="There just aren't enough points" First statement by Sajsi MC following her awarding Breskvica 0 points at Beovizija 2024 |language=sr-Latn |date=2024-03-03 |access-date=2024-03-03 |work=Blic |first=Nina |last=Denda}} Marija Šerifović and Zoran Živanović Žika{{snd}}also members of the jury{{snd}}also received threats.
