Pete Van Valkenburg (sometimes referred to as Pete Van Valkenberg{{cite web|url=https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/V/VanVPe00.htm|title=Pete Van Valkenberg|publisher=Pro-Football-Reference.com|accessdate=2011-07-16}}) is an American former professional football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL).{{cite web|url=http://www.fantasyfootballchallenge.com/6-17955/pete-van-valkenburg-profile.html|title=Pete Van Valkenburg Stats|publisher=Fantasy Football Challence.com|accessdate=2011-07-16}} He played college football for the BYU Cougars. Van Valkenburg was selected in the third round of the 1973 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints and would play that season with the Buffalo Bills. He split the following season between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears.
