He can play at both the power forward and center positions.
Professional career
Oriola started playing basketball in his hometown team, Club Natació Tàrrega.{{Cite web|url=http://www.acb.com/redaccion.php?id=108655|title=ACB.COM - El vodevil de Pierre|website=www.acb.com|access-date=2018-10-31}} In 2009 he began his pro career with the Spanish First Division senior team of Manresa.{{cite news|url=http://archive.sportando.basketball/en/spain/acb/78434/pierre-oriola-moves-to-manresa.html|title=Pierre Oriola moves to Manresa|work=Sportando.basketball|date=July 30, 2009|accessdate=August 14, 2019}} He then played on loan in the Spanish amateur level Liga EBA, with CE Saint Nicolau, during the 2010–11 season. Spain national team
Oriola was a member of the Spain junior national teams.
