History

The original settlement of Radom dates to the 8th century and evolved into the Piotrówka hillfort in the 10th century. In the mid-14th century, the castle portion of Piotrówka was destroyed around the time of a Lithuanian attack. Radom was then legally established in the 1360s, several hundred years after Piotrówka initially emerged.Acerbi, E. (2023). The Austrian army 1805-1809 - Vol. 1 The infantry.
