History

The band was started by brothers Eddy and Danny Garcia in 1993. Eddy played guitar and Danny played drums, and they were joined by singer Dave McNutt and bassist Mat Lynch. McNutt soon departed and was replaced by Joe Rodriquez. They self-released an album titled Psycho Punko Metal Groove in 1996.{{Citation|title=Pissing Razors – Psycho Punko Metal Groove (1996, CD)|date=September 27, 1996 |url=https://www.discogs.com/release/3854200-Pissing-Razors-Psycho-Punko-Metal-Groove|language=en|access-date=2021-11-28{{cbignore}}}}{{Cite web|date=2019-07-04|title=INTERVIEW: Joe Rodriguez - Pissing Razors|url=https://www.therockpit.net/2019/interview-joe-rodriguez-pissing-razors/|access-date=2021-11-28|website=The Rockpit}} By 1997, Danny Garcia had departed and Eddy Garcia switched to drums while Lynch switched to guitar, with Rick Valles joining on bass.{{Cite web|title=Pissing Razors Biography, Songs, & Albums|url=https://www.allmusic.com/artist/pissing-razors-mn0000851141/biography|access-date=2021-11-28|website=AllMusic|language=en}} A self-titled debut album was released in 1998 by Noise Records.{{Citation|title=Pissing Razors - Pissing Razors {{!}} Songs, Reviews, Credits {{!}} AllMusic|url=https://www.allmusic.com/album/pissing-razors-mw0000036367|language=en|access-date=2021-11-28}}

The band's lineup remained stable until 1999, when Lynch departed and was replaced by Cesar Soto. In 2000, they contributed to the album Panther: A Tribute to Pantera.{{Citation|title=A Panther: A Tribute to Pantera - Various Artists {{!}} Songs, Reviews, Credits {{!}} AllMusic|url=https://www.allmusic.com/album/a-panther-a-tribute-to-pantera-mw0000060440|language=en|access-date=2021-11-28}} The band's next two albums were affected by unstable lineups. Rodriguez departed in 2000 and was replaced by Jason Bragg, who lasted for about one year and was replaced in turn by Andre Acosta. By 2003, Soto had been replaced by Matt Difabio;{{Cite web|url=https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/pissing-razors-confirm-guitarist-s-departure/|title=PISSING RAZORS Confirm Guitarist's Departure|date=28 October 2002|website=Blabbermouth.net|accessdate=11 October 2020}} this lineup released the album Evolution.{{Citation|title=Evolution - Pissing Razors {{!}} Songs, Reviews, Credits {{!}} AllMusic|url=https://www.allmusic.com/album/evolution-mw0000692882|language=en|access-date=2021-11-28}}
