Varieties
This dish has many varieties. Pitepalt are mostly made of raw potatoes and a mix of wheat and barley flour. Pitepalt and kroppkaka look quite similar in shape. For kroppkaka, pre-boiled potatoes and wheat flour are used. This gives kroppkaka dumplings a slightly lighter color.{{cite web |title=Palt och kroppkaka |url=https://www.faktoider.nu/palt-kroppkaka.html |url-status=live |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20241009194637/https://faktoider.nu/palt-kroppkaka.html |archive-date=2024-10-09 |access-date=December 1, 2019 |website=faktoider.nu}}
