Planchonella maclayana is a tree in the family Sapotaceae. It grows up to {{convert|18|m|-1|abbr=on}} tall with a trunk diameter of up to {{convert|25|cm|-1|abbr=on}}. The fruits are roundish, up to {{convert|1.3|cm|0|abbr=on}} long.

It ranges from Borneo through Sulawesi, Maluku, and New Guinea to the Solomon Islands. Its habitat is forests from sea-level to {{convert|1500|m|-2|abbr=on}} elevation.

The tree is named for Russian explorer and biologist Nicholas Miklouho-Maclay.
