Platanthera stricta is a species of orchid known by the common name slender bog orchid. Platanthera stricta grows in wet areas, such as shady forest meadows. It produces a slender, erect flowering stem up to about {{convert|80|cm|in|0}} tall. The longest leaves near the base of the stem are up to {{convert|11|cm|in|frac=3}} long by {{convert|2.5|cm|in|0}} wide. The inflorescence has widely spaced green flowers, sometimes tinged red or purple. The sepals and petals are around {{convert|1/2|cm|in|spell=in|frac=4}} long and each flower has a club-shaped spur.{{citation needed|date=March 2025}}
