The Plymouth De Luxe and Special De Luxe were full-sized automobiles which were produced by American manufacturer Plymouth during the 1933–1942 and 1946–1950 model years.

The Plymouth Deluxe Model PD appeared in 1933, shortly after the Plymouth Six Model PC which was the company's first six-cylinder automobile but offered a {{convert|107|in|mm|0|abbr=on}} wheelbase versus 112 for the De Luxe.{{Cite web|title=Plymouths of 1933: PC, PD — their first six cylinder cars|url=https://www.allpar.com/threads/plymouths-of-1933-pc-pd-%E2%80%94%C2%A0their-first-six-cylinder-cars.229640/|access-date=2021-04-22|website=Allpar Forums|language=en-US}}

It was an upscale alternative to the Plymouth Six (1933-1934), Business Six (1935-1938) and Roadking (1938-1940).{{Cite web|title=The Glamour Car: Plymouth for 1938|url=https://www.allpar.com/threads/the-glamour-car-plymouth-for-1938.227894/|access-date=2021-04-22|website=Allpar Forums|language=en-US}} In 1941, the Roadking name was dropped for the low trim Plymouths, which were referred as P11 and not renewed in 1942, making the De Luxe, the entry level.{{Cite web|title=Plymouth cars of the 1940s (from the Illustrated...|url=https://www.allpar.com/threads/plymouth-cars-of-the-1940s-from-the-illustrated-plymouth-desoto-buyers-guide.229625/|access-date=2021-04-22|website=Allpar Forums|language=en-US}}

Between 1941 and 1950, the De Luxe was offered in two trim levels, the De Luxe and the top-of-the-line Special De Luxe.{{cite web|title=Travel there and Back in a Plymouth|url=http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/Plymouth/1946%20Plymouth/album/1946%20Plymouth-16.html|publisher=Chrysler Corporation|access-date=2011-10-18|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110220072157/http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/Plymouth/1946%20Plymouth/album/1946%20Plymouth-16.html|archive-date=2011-02-20|url-status=dead}} The engine in 1946 was a {{convert|95|bhp|kW|0|abbr=on|adj=on}} {{convert|217.8|CID|L|1|abbr=on}} Plymouth Straight Six.{{cite web |url=http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/Plymouth/1946%20Plymouth/album/1946%20Plymouth-16.html |title=Directory Index: Plymouth/1946 Plymouth/album |publisher=Oldcarbrochures.com |date= |accessdate=2011-11-20 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110220072157/http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/Plymouth/1946%20Plymouth/album/1946%20Plymouth-16.html |archive-date=2011-02-20 |url-status=dead }} In 1949 this engine was upgraded to produce {{convert|97|bhp|kW|0|abbr=on}}.{{cite web |url=http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/Plymouth/1949%20Plymouth/album/1949%20Plymouth-12.html |title=Directory Index: Plymouth/1949 Plymouth/album |publisher=Oldcarbrochures.com |date= |accessdate=2011-11-20 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130524074202/http://oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/Plymouth/1949%20Plymouth/album/1949%20Plymouth-12.html |archive-date=2013-05-24 |url-status=dead }}
