Around the lighthouse is a small public park with trails and information boards about the history of the lighthouse and the geologic area. The park offers views of the Bay of Fundy and the Digby Gut. It is operated by The Friends of Point Prim and they have slowly gained support from local contributors who have donated two picnic tables. They have also applied for a grant from Heritage Canada to help with repairs and upkeep of the lighthouse and surrounding parkland.{{cite news|last=Riley|first=Jonathan|title=Prettying Up Point Prim|url=http://www.digbycourier.ca/Living/Travel/2012-07-24/article-3038335/Prettying-up-Point-Prim/1|access-date=19 February 2013|newspaper=The Digby County Courier|date=24 July 1012}} There are also interesting rock formations nearby.{{Cite web|url=http://digbyhostel.com/digbyhostel/index.php/digby-area-hiking-trails/91-point-prim-lighthouse|title=Point Prim Lighthouse - Digby|website=digbyhostel.com|access-date=2016-12-01}}
