More Categories for viruses?
Hi, I would find it great if there was a simple method to search for viruses by:
- availability, type and effectivity of vaccine
- whether survival is likely to lead to immunity and how long, similarly whether later exposition to same or related viruses causes problems
- whether the virus persists
Do you think this could be done by categories? Richiez (talk) 19:34, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
:Hello {{u|Richiez}} -- This is not a good place to ask general questions not relating to the portal; try Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Viruses. To answer your question, I don't think complex information such as you mention is generally well served by categories. Even with a simple question such as does a virus have a vaccine, there are vaccines in various phases of clinical trials, vaccines licensed by one country but not by others, vaccines licensed for specific populations but not others... And your other two points are far more complex. Espresso Addict (talk) 19:28, 18 March 2020 (UTC)

I have spent the last few days rewriting this (neglected) article. Comments are welcome (on the Talk Page). Thanks. Graham Beards (talk) 13:02, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
