Pothnal is a village in the Manvi taluk of Raichur district in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is well connected by road and lies on Karnataka State Highway 23. Pothnal is {{convert|22|km|mi}} from Manvi and {{convert|24|km|mi}} from Sindhanur. It lies on the bank of a nala called Pothnal Nala.

The village has nearly 10 schools, two three pu and degree colleges,{{Incomprehensible inline|date=February 2025|reason='two three pu' may be a typographical error}} and a diploma college. The Huchchabuddeshwara Temple there is very famous, and a jatra is held there every August. The nearest major railway station is in Raichur.

Pothnal has two NGOs: Vimukthi Charitable Trust and Navanirmana Trust.
