The Praga Bohema is a high-performance limited-production sports car manufactured by Czech marque Praga.
Production
The car was introduced in November 2022. Production began in the second half of 2023, when the first 10 cars were made. In the same year, the Czech brand opened its new representative office in England, where customers had the opportunity to specify the car. In the next four to five years, around 20 cars will be produced by each time.{{cite news |title=Praga nabídne nový supersport Bohema s výkonem 700 koní za 30 milionů Kč |url=https://autoroad.cz/novinky/104047-praga-nabidne-novy-supersport-bohema-s-vykonem-700-koni-za-30-milionu-kc |work=Autoroad.cz}} Production will be limited to 89 units, to celebrate Praga's 89th anniversary since Praga's victory at the 1000 Miles of Czechoslovakia in 1933.{{cite news|work=MotorAuthority |url=https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1137953_praga-bohema-track-focused-hypercar-revealed |title=Praga Bohema track-focused hypercar revealed|first=Viknesh|last=Vijayenthiran|date=23 November 2022|access-date=5 December 2022}}
After modest delays, the first unit was delivered to a Dutch buyer for €1.36 million plus taxes in December 2024.{{cite news |title=Praga Proves Bohema Is No Vaporware By Delivering First Production Car |url=https://www.carscoops.com/2024/12/praga-proves-bohema-is-no-vaporware-by-delivering-first-production-car/ |work=Carscoops.com}}
Design
Although the Bohema is heavily oriented towards track performance, it maintains several features that somewhat preserve its useability as a road car, such as storage bins located at the rear wheel arches and Alcantara stitching in the interior.{{cite magazine|magazine=Wallpaper|url=https://www.wallpaper.com/transportation/praga-bohema-supercar-review|title=Praga Bohema supercar's Czech racing heritage shines through|first=Jonathan|last=Bell|date=26 November 2022|access-date=5 December 2022}} British firm Litchfield Engineering has also made several modifications to the engine, which is shared with the Nissan GT-R. The VR38DETT's wet sump oil system has been replaced with a dry sump, the turbochargers have been replaced with Litchfield's own, bringing power and torque up to {{cvt|710|PS|hp kW|0|abbr=on}} at 6,800 rpm and {{cvt|725|Nm|lbft|0|abbr=on}} between 3,000 rpm and 6,000 rpm, and is paired to a titanium exhaust at the rear.{{cite magazine|url=https://forbes.it/2022/12/03/700-cavalli-al-prezzo-di-oltre-1-milione-di-euro-ecco-la-supercar-ceca-praga-bohema/|title=700 cavalli al prezzo di oltre 1 milione di euro: ecco la supercar ceca Praga Bohema|first=Emiliano|last=Ragoni|date=3 December 2022|magazine=Forbes Italia|lang=it|access-date=5 December 2022}}
Power is sent through the rear wheels via a 6-speed Hewland sequential manual transmission, to tyres fitted with Pirelli Trofeo R (305/30 ZR19 102Y rear, 245/40 ZR18 97Y front). This arrangement allows for the interchangeability of road tyres with track-only Michelin slicks, which are the same size.{{cite magazine|url=https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/fahrbericht/praga-bohema-le-mans-prototyp-fuer-die-strasse/|lang=de|magazine=Auto Motor und Sport|title=Le Mans-Prototyp für die Straße|first=Paul|last=Englert|date=23 November 2022|access-date=5 December 2022}}
The mechanical grip is complemented by the radical exterior design that Praga claims will provide {{cvt|900|kg|lbs|0|abbr=on}} of downforce at {{cvt|250|km/h|mph|abbr=on|0}}. This is a similar ratio to the Bugatti Veyron. With such downforce, the car could theoretically drive upside down at this speed. Extensive use of carbon fibre throughout the car including its chassis gives it a kerb weight of just under {{cvt|1000|kg|lbs|0|abbr=on}}.{{cite magazine|magazine=Car and Driver|url=https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a42043450/praga-bohema-prototype-drive/|title=Praga Bohema, Czech Hypercar, Blurs the Line between Road Car and Race Car|first=Mike|last=Duff|date=30 November 2022|access-date=5 December 2022}}
