Artistry
Pretty Sick's music is now primarily rooted in alternative-rock, grunge, riot grrrl, and post-punk, while their earlier music was considered far more indie-rock. Over the years, the production style has become increasingly gritty and dark.{{cite web|url=https://www.thecut.com/2017/09/the-seventeen-year-old-playing-in-a-riot-grrrl-band.html|title=The 17-Year-Old Playing in a Riot Grrrl Band|website=thecut.com|date=8 September 2017|access-date=2021-05-29}}{{cite web|url=http://officemagazine.net/its-pretty-sick|title=It's Pretty Sick! Their music videos are equally notable for their transgressive nature, marked by bloody car-crashes,{{cite web|url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45EIpOBKKhk|title=Pretty Sick - Allen Street|website=youtube.com|access-date=2021-05-29}} operating rooms,{{cite web|url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9BXhoTymR0|title=Pretty Sick - Bet My Blood|website=youtube.com|access-date=2021-05-29}} and erotic aggression.{{cite web|url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1eHgtsb-Xc|title=Pretty Sick - Dumb|website=youtube.com|access-date=2021-05-29}}
