The prime minister of the State of Palestine is the head of government of the State of Palestine. The post has been in existence since January 2013, when the Palestinian National Authority was officially renamed{{cite web | url=https://www.algemeiner.com/2013/01/04/abbas-signs-decree-to-change-pa-name-to-%E2%80%98state-of-palestine%E2%80%99/ | title=Abbas Signs Decree to Change PA Name to 'State of Palestine' }} into the State of Palestine and replaced the previous position of the prime minister of the Palestinian National Authority.{{citation needed|date=November 2015}}
