Political stance
Professional Power was widely considered as a centrist camp political organization, and has been competing directly with both pro-Beijing camp and the pro-democracy camp.
And yet, in 2016 Hong Kong legislative election, it was reported that the Hong Kong Liaison Office has been trying to "allocate" the votes to Fong. {{Cite web|title=選舉內幕:建制曾下令救方國珊 有人拒執行|url=https://hk.on.cc/hk/bkn/cnt/news/20160908/bkn-20160908095316091-0908_00822_001.html|accessdate=2019-11-19|work=on.cc東網|language=zh-hk}}
In 2019 Hong Kong local elections, many candidates of the Professional Power were not challenged by any parties or independent politicians from the pro-Beijing camp.{{Cite web|title=【區選前瞻】西貢區山頭林立 「撞區」全因無大台?|url=https://www.hk01.com/01觀點/392326/區選前瞻-西貢區山頭林立-撞區-全因無大台|accessdate=2019-11-19|date=2019-10-30|last=評論編輯室|work=香港01|language=zh-HK}} Prior to the polling day, there was a list widely circulated in LIHKG and Factcheck.io. In the 2021 Legislative Council election, Connie Lam So-wai ran in the New Territories South East, receiving nominations from a member of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Paul Kwong and other pro-Beijing stance. Christine Fong was also rumoured to have been "blessed" and approved by Chinese Government to run in the election.{{Cite web|last=吳仕瑜|date=2021-10-22|title=01消息|夏寶龍周日南下深圳 拍板立法會出選名單 左右泛民命運|url=https://www.hk01.com/政情/691616/01消息-夏寶龍周日南下深圳-拍板立法會出選名單-左右泛民命運|access-date=2021-12-26|website=香港01|language=zh-HK}} The group later was branded as part of pro-Beijing camp,{{Cite web |date=2021-12-22 |title=【政情網上行】林素蔚:我不是建制派 吳秋北:參選已是建制 |trans-title=You are pro-establishment once you run in elections: Ng Chau-pei |url=https://news.now.com/home/local/player?newsId=460882 |access-date=2023-12-28 |website=Now 新聞 |language=zh-hk}}{{Cite web |title=建制派議員遊日斥Suica不方便大讚中國好 惹網民抨擊兼翻舊帳 |trans-title=Pro-establishment MP criticised after laments Japan's 'inconvenience' |url=https://www.rfa.org/cantonese/news/htm/hk-lam-12262023050538.html |access-date=2023-12-28 |website=Radio Free Asia |language=zh-hk}} despite Lam rejected the labeling and insisted the group as "pro-livelihood group" ({{zh|民生派}}).{{Cite web|title=陳克勤稱選舉過程「五光十色」 吳秋北:參選的都是建制一部分 林素蔚:不算建制派 是「貼地民生派」|date=2021-12-23|url=https://news.mingpao.com/pns/%e6%b8%af%e8%81%9e/article/20211223/s00002/1640197147033/%e9%99%b3%e5%85%8b%e5%8b%a4%e7%a8%b1%e9%81%b8%e8%88%89%e9%81%8e%e7%a8%8b%e3%80%8c%e4%ba%94%e5%85%89%e5%8d%81%e8%89%b2%e3%80%8d-%e5%90%b3%e7%a7%8b%e5%8c%97-%e5%8f%83%e9%81%b8%e7%9a%84%e9%83%bd%e6%98%af%e5%bb%ba%e5%88%b6%e4%b8%80%e9%83%a8%e5%88%86-%e6%9e%97%e7%b4%a0%e8%94%9a-%e4%b8%8d%e7%ae%97%e5%bb%ba%e5%88%b6%e6%b4%be-%e6%98%af%e3%80%8c%e8%b2%bc%e5%9c%b0%e6%b0%91%e7%94%9f%e6%b4%be%e3%80%8d|access-date=2021-12-26|website=Ming Pao|language=zh-hant}}
