Structure

Wikiproject Las Vegas will deal with many types of articles, not only those concerning CHRs, but also those such as Clark County, Las Vegas Strip, Cirque du Soleil and Lake Mead.

= City articles =

The city articles about Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada (and townships within the Las Vegas valley) should loosely conform to the guidelines of WikiProject Cities and Wikiproject Location Format.

= Casinos, Hotels and Resorts (CHRs) =

Hierarchy definition

No classification of this project has been defined.

Goals

  1. Maintain up–to–date accurate information.
  2. Common items that change frequently include: population, CHR ownership, name, room count, attractions and restaurants.
  3. Create a standard naming convention for CHR article titles.
  4. Create a easy navigation system of CHRs.
  5. Maintain a logical categorization for the location of CHRs.

Projects

  1. List all categories currently being used
  2. Identify main articles and what should be in each
  3. Create a simple definition of the area being covered, like is BC included or not. Or maybe keep a list here of all communities included.

Open tasks

{{Wikipedia:WikiProject Las Vegas/Things you can do}}

Adopt an article

Similar to the Collaboration of the week, but on a smaller scale, you might want to "adopt" an article. This would involve doing the research, writing, and picture-taking (if possible) for either a non-existent article or a stub. Of course, everyone else can still edit an adopted article, and you can work on other things too, but the idea is to find a focus for a while, to try and build up the number of quality articles the Project has produced.
