Project Houdini
Project Houdini is a computer program used by the 2008 U.S. presidential campaign of Barack Obama. Although it originally had missteps, it has been credited with helping increase Democratic Party turnout over the 2004 election. It has been compared to ORCA, which failed under similar circumstances for the Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign.{{cite web|last=Hebert|first=David|title=Obama's 'Project Houdini' Revealed|url=http://www.nationaljournal.com/njonline/no_20081107_4999.php|work=National Journal|access-date=26 December 2012|date=2 January 2011|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20121115164453/http://www.nationaljournal.com/njonline/no_20081107_4999.php|archive-date=15 November 2012|url-status=dead}}{{cite web|last=Jacobs|first=Ben|title=Orca Failed; but So Did Obama's 2008 Version of the Same|url=https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2012/11/orca-failed-but-so-did-obamas-2008-version-of-the-same/265077/|publisher=The Atlantic|access-date=26 December 2012|date=11 November 2012}}{{cite web|last=Issenberg|first=Sasha|title=ORCA vs. Gordon, a Battle of Election-Day Poll-Monitoring Systems|url=http://www.slate.com/blogs/victory_lab/2012/11/01/orca_vs_gordon_a_battle_of_election_day_poll_monitoring_systems.html|publisher=Slate Magazine|access-date=26 December 2012|date=1 November 2012}}
