Przygodzice {{IPAc-pl|p|sz|y|g|o|'|dź|i|c|e}} is a village in Ostrów Wielkopolski County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Przygodzice.{{TERYT}} It lies approximately {{convert|5|km|mi|0}} south of the town of Ostrów Wielkopolski.
History
Przygodzice was a private village of Polish nobility, administratively located in the Kalisz County in the Kalisz Voivodeship in the Greater Poland Province of the Kingdom of Poland.{{cite book|author= |title=Atlas historyczny Polski. Following the joint German-Soviet invasion of Poland, which started World War II in September 1939, the village was occupied by Germany until 1945. In 1942, the German gendarmerie carried out expulsions of Poles, whose houses and farms were then handed over to German colonists as part of the Lebensraum policy.{{cite book|last=Wardzyńska|first=Maria|year=2017|title=Wysiedlenia ludności polskiej z okupowanych ziem polskich włączonych do III Rzeszy w latach 1939-1945|language=pl|location=Warszawa|publisher=IPN|pages=337–338|isbn=978-83-8098-174-4}} Expelled Poles were either enslaved as forced labour of new German colonists in the county of deported to the General Government in the more-eastern part of German-occupied Poland. The Polish resistance was active in Przygodzice.
