Pseudemathis is a monotypic genus of African jumping spiders containing the single species, Pseudemathis trifida. It was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1902,{{cite journal| last=Simon| first=E.| year=1902| title=Description d'arachnides nouveaux de la famille des Salticidae (Attidae) (suite)| journal=Annales de la Société Entomologique de Belgique| pages=363–406| volume=46| author-link=Eugène_Simon}} and is found only in Africa.{{cite journal| title=Gen.
