Ptelea aptera, the wingless ptelea,{{Citation needed|date=February 2025}} is a small flowering shrub native to Baja California Norte, Mexico. It is neighbored by the more northern Ptelea crenulata, the western hoptree. It seemingly has the smallest distribution of the three species.
