Purbeckopus is an ichnotaxon of pterosaur of the family Pteraichnidae. The trackmaker of Purbeckopus lived in southern England during the Berriasian, in the Early Cretaceous. According to the fossil remains found, it is expected that it was a large pterosaur, with 6 m (19.7 ft) in wingspan.{{cite journal|surname1=Wright, J.L.|surname2=Unwin, D.M.|surname3=Lockleyl, M.G.|surname4=Rainforth, E.C.|title=Pterosaur tracks from the Purbeck Limestone Formation of Dorset, England|journal=Proceedings of the Geologists' Association|date=January 1997|volume=108|number=1|pages=39–48|doi=10.1016/S0016-7878(97)80004-1|bibcode=1997PrGA..108...39W |url=http://doc.rero.ch/record/16671/files/PAL_E3121.pdf }}
