Pyon Yong-tae or Byeon Yeong-tae ({{Korean|hangul=변영태}}; December 15, 1892 – March 10, 1969) was a South Korean politician. He was the fifth prime minister of South Korea,Yahu! As minister of foreign affairs, Pyon signed the Mutual Defense Treaty between the United States and South Korea on August 8, 1953.{{Cite web |last=Jung |first=Min-kyung |date=2023-04-27 |title=How S. The position was restored in 1960 under the second Republic of Korea.
