The Qassab ({{langx|ur|قصاب}}; from the {{langx|ar|قصاب|qaṣāb}}, meaning butcher), are members of a north Indian community or biradari. This is title of profession. It’s not a caste, it’s a profession like plumber, doctor, engineer etc.

History and origin
