In August 1970, Celtic fielded several of their so-called Quality Street Gang youths in the Glasgow Cup Final against a full strength Rangers side, winning 3–1.{{cite news|last=Parkinson|first=Jim|title=Youthful Celtic win back Glasgow Cup from Rangers|url=https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=i5FAAAAAIBAJ&sjid=-6QMAAAAIBAJ&pg=2024%2C1690516|access-date=6 April 2015|work=The Glasgow Herald|date=11 August 1970|page=6}}
